What’s It All About?

I’m on a mission to reestablish my roots, which is beginning with this blog. This is Her Voice Rising, a compilation of my thoughts and advice on topics that ignite my creativity and promote positive thinking and reviews on my favorite novels. You’ll find that my blog posts may be very candid about my personal experiences. I battled with depression and anxiety, and while I have conquered enormous hurdles, healing is always a continuous journey. Each day is an opportunity to learn and to become a better version of yourself than you were the day prior. I strive to be the best possible version of myself for my family, and writing liberates me. Reading empowers me, and I encourage everyone I can to take that journey with me. In the age where a literary crisis is encroaching our civilization, it’s more important now than ever before to promote reading. I believe that there is something out there for everyone to enjoy, and I hope that you just might find inspiration through my blog.
