It’s insanely unique, immersive, honest, and deeply thought-provoking. Matthew J. Kirby doesn’t just tell a story; he invites readers to question the very nature of identity, consciousness, and what it means to be alive.
The narrative follows Jessica Mathers, a seventeen-year-old girl whose life is upended by a futuristic form of space travel. In this world, teleportation isn’t a matter of stepping through a portal but a process of copying the body, storing the mind, and 3D-printing a new version of yourself at the desired destination. It’s efficient, groundbreaking, and ethically unsettling.
